Vintage Mary Josephine

My mother made these overalls for my brother Bobby 22 years ago.

I don't know that Abram appreciates the romance of wearing 22 year old overalls that his grandmother made for his uncle.

I'm starting to think your mom is superwoman, 8 kids, home births, home-made overalls, etc. Those overalls are DARLING.

Do you sew? I like to sew things that only need straight lines (home decor stuff mostly), though I have sewn clothes back in the day.

Yeah, I like to sew, I have some personality problems that interfere with my sewing. I'm not very patient and so when I try to produce what I see in my head, I don't always take the time to do it well.
My mom is a superwoman. She is a great multitasker, if that is a word. She has always worked, she is a nurse. She raised 8 kids, she sewed, cooked, home birthed, was patient, let's just say she's all the things I'm not.
I am so not a good multitasker. If I tried to have a baby at home I would be dead. Sometimes I wish I was a little more like my mom.

I like your phrase "personality problems that interfere with sewing." I very much relate to that. That's why I do things with straight lines these days. I got pretty testy when I worked on clothing (pre-mission) if anybody interrupted me . . . and still get that way. Sewing is NOT a relaxing hobby for me. Maybe I misrepresented when I said I "like" to sew. I like that I have the ability to make cute curtains and dust ruffles and such.
