A Torrid Weekend Love Affair. At least as torrid as it gets with an 8 month old.

I know that I would have preferred San Fransisco (or Greece for that matter), but the boy goes where I go since I am his source of breakfast, lunch, dinner and multiple midnight snacks. I decided to make it easy on myself. The Grand America in exotic Salt Lake City would have to be our anniversary destination.
My mother took my daughters. I packed the car with every amenity available for a smooth retreat that includes an infant. I drove north and stopped only long enough on 45th south for Brad to jump into the car.

We arrived just in time to set up the pack-n-play, have some dinner, and enjoy the view.

We feasted like kings(for which I felt guilty), shopped(for which I felt not so guilty), relaxed while Abram napped, and Brad swam(I forgot my swimsuit, at least that's my excuse).

The fragrance in the bathroom reminded me of my beloved grandmother. If memory serves, she always smelled lovely. Notice this bathroom is void of a 4 year old's bed on the floor, although, the closet was not void of an 8 month old's bed.

Abram seemed to feel right at home with the posh surroundings.

In conclusion, we partied hard, well... as hard as an 8 month old can party.

It sounds like a great weekend! DH and I had part of our honeymoon in SLC and really enjoyed it. It's fun to have such fond memories of downtown SLC. I hope it really was relaxing and wonderful (and good for you for not choosing an emergency weaning and Greece)!

Hey, thanks for commenting. Read you and we're living the same life! I just got back from an unromantic getaway with my 8 month old too. It was fun to have an "only" again. Happy Anniversary.
